Final theses
You must have completed the basic subjects prescribed in the respective examination regulations at the time of application or by the start of the final thesis.
Please apply exclusively by e-mail from your university account to sek.fallgatter@wiwi.uni-wuppertal.de. Your e-mail should have an assignable subject and include your name, matriculation number, degree program and type of thesis (Bachelor's/Master's). You should also attach a letter of motivation to your e-mail. You are welcome to name subject areas.
In the summer semester we accept applications until June 15 and in the winter semester until December 15.
You will receive confirmation of receipt shortly after your application has been received. You will be notified by email whether you have been allocated a childcare place no later than two weeks after the application deadline (15.06. or 15.12.).
You will be assigned a supervisor from our department. You will then receive information about the further procedure.
Support is provided on an individual basis in consultation with your supervisor. Although there is no obligation to make regular use of this service, it is very sensible.
You can obtain this information from your responsible examination office and/or in the respective examination regulations.
The thesis can only be submitted to the responsible examination office (mailbox in building M on level 11). It is not possible to hand in the thesis at the chair itself.
Exams
Old exams are available for preparation in the respective Moodle course of the course.
There are no sample solutions, as there are often different approaches and we are continuously developing our course content. Our courses will train your argumentation skills. Your arguments will be checked individually during the exam correction.
The examination office sets a correction deadline of six weeks after the exam. We regularly fall short of this deadline. Please refrain from making inquiries during this period.
Only after all exams have been corrected do we carry out the final grading. This standardized process is not compatible with bringing forward individual exams. In addition, the examination regulations do not provide for rush corrections. We assure you that we will adhere to the examination deadlines.
